Maybe it's best that Matt doesn't come back otherwise we risk seeing something happen to him and Luke being devastated that his other friend is now in danger and he can't bear to lose Matt like he lost Phil and Tom

this is so true, as much as i’d LOVE matt back id be absolutely terrified they do anything to him and i would be absolutely DEVASTATED if they brought him back just to kill him off to hurt luke even more😭😭

aside from Roxy, two of Luke's best friends, Phil and Tom, were killed onscreen by a gunshot to the head. You ever think Luke had nightmares of his military buddies or even Matt or Tyler die from being shot in the head?

YES OH MY GOD YES!

I feel he struggled with nightmares deeply after he got back from iraq and they only subsided once he had gotten help from ARC and was paired up with Roxy—when Phil was murdered they definitely came back but not as frequently and not as violently/vividly. Now that there’s been more trauma added (the death of Roxy and murder of Tom) they 100% have came back full force and i feel that’s why he’s lost his spark, he doesn’t seem as bright or happy as he was before it all—he dreams about everyone on the team being killed constantly but most frequently matt and tyler since they share military backgrounds!!
