orpheus really shouldn’t have been on the seventh floor. hell, being anywhere but the second floor or the roof made people look at him funnily - it was an oddity, after all. but being on the floor of the victor that had killed everett, and in fact, actively hurrying towards what orpheus thought was his room certainly got him some looks from avoxes trying to scurry out of the way. he paused a moment short of basically kicking the door down, knocked as politely as he could instead ( which wasn’t polite, or relaxed for that matter, it was an incessant, miserable tapping ). “alder reid !!” he exclaimed, a certain desperation in his voice. “you’re coming up to the roof with me, let’s go.”
