Lucky Cat Ale Trail

A remnant of York’s medieval past are a selection of cat statues and sculpture that adorn buildings throughout the City which were originally supposed to scare off mice and rats that could carry plague. In recent years York Glass Ltd. on the Shambles has compiled all their locations with the popular Lucky Cat Trail, it looked such good fun that we thought we’d put together our very own Pub Crawl based around the locations of most of the cats. If you want more details on cat locations it might be worth printing a copy of their map as well. See if after a few pints you can still spot all the cats, happy hunting!
