A little headcanon for Alexis.
During the time spent inside Unicron, when she and the boys saw Starscream die, she was sucked into nightmares where she saw him as he would be in Energon and Cybertron but he didn't recognize her in either and even tried to kill her. She knew these were nightmares, though, and didn't let them get to her.
In short, she is a very strong young woman mentally. :3
