I love any excuse to talk about Al so here goes

So, me and @missrabbitart have a coexisting canon - Alejandra and her apprentice, Cya, can exist separately, but a huge chunk of their stories rely on the other. We've discussed a modern AU (like a lot lmao)

Alejandra, in our modern AU, is still in pre-med undergrad, and works for Asra at his cafe, instead of the shop (though it's her building in canon, but whatever) and lives with him. Her dads, in this world, are both alive, and she's struggling to get by, basically dropping all extra charges to work/manage school.

Cya works for Asra too, as the baker lady, and the three of them (plus Muriel) have been buds since grade school. I kind of imagine Vesuvia as being like New York City with all the different districts and such.

Al wants to be a surgeon, but in a modern AU, I could see her working with kids, considering she likes it so much and is halfway decent at it.

When she finally becomes a doctor, I think she's pretty much this:

💬 theres a rumors about an island in my country, that it’s adopted by Jinn after it was left by it people when they moved in the city, some people who go there for a visit says the did really saw weird things going on there, so it believed it might be true.

Alejandra gasps, “Really? Where, exactly can we find it? Ooh, maybe Portia will want to come! We have to go, obviously...maybe we can convince Muriel and...I wonder if Cya would want to come...”

I’m going to be doing all of these from Alejandra’s perspective, so she has no memory of her life before she died. 

3. What is the worst pain they’ve ever experienced?

“I once got so drunk I fell down the stairs to the Rowdy Raven and passed out there. Asra found me the morning after, in the piss and the sewage...he wasn’t really happy about that.”

yes! She was created to be a female character with big dumb energy because I always found men who fit that trope (book smart but no common sense), and I figured that if I wanted a portrayal of that, I would have to make it myself. 

She’s a self-trained doctor. She was hired by the Coliseum, and later the palace. But she also drinks too much and can’t recognize her own chocolate and peanut allergies and walks into open filing cabinets and door frames.
