“I kept an eye out during Mercuralia, but they are truly getting awfully bold now that the Senate has allied with them,” Robin mentions idly as she steps out of the woods and closer to Alek, a disgruntled look on her face even as she nods politely to the Alpha. They are here to talk business, after all, and she is not Zahrya. It is amusing to see him petting the Lycans, almost tempting to do the same at times, but there is a time and a place for everything, and she doubts Alek would be as enthused with her petting as he is with Zahrya’s. Their bond is rather different to her connection with the Alpha, after all. “Most of that technology was new too.”

During their cute little Lubercalia, Zahrya was careful to limit his proximity to Alek except in private. The last thing he wanted was for anyone to think Alek's ascension had anything to do with the fey. With all that over and their alliance cemented, Zahrya sees no reason to hold back. He loves all of his new pets, even the more difficult ones, but Alek will always be his favorite. Optics and pecking order meant little to someone who was born into uncontested power, so when the fog rolls over the Lupo territory and Zahrya seemingly materializes from it, he’s laughing and gleefully throwing his arms around Alek's neck. He nuzzles the lycan with his forehead in full view of all the wolves there. “Alek let’s go play a game! You hardly give me any attention these days,” he pouts briefly but returns to smiling once he starts stroking Alek’s messy hair back. “I can set up a hunting game, or I can play a song for you to dance to. Or maybe we can try the game of fetch! Whatever you want, you've been such a good boy.”

                 The one thing that’s keeping Èdelie entertained is the company of animals. Some of the ones seen around the forest are her own pets; from dogs, cats, to even reptiles and guinea pigs, she had them. Her home in the realm is essentially similar to a zoo just as it is at her townhouse outside of the realm. Èdelie’s standing there publicly having a conversation with deer. She’s understanding of their speech and emotions, truthfully getting down to the nitty gritty of things until eyes begin to peer onto her, shifting uncomfortably out of embarrassment. Her hands soon drifted upwards to palm her cheeks, unable to hide the burning sensation flooding her face. “He was just — I was being told,” Èdelie attempted to explain, eventually stopping herself. “I can talk with animals. That’s all I’ve got. Are you trying to find your way back to the lycans?”

“If you want, I can go?” The statement comes out more as a question than anything, as she looks at Alek and takes him in after months apart. Evy wants to reach out, wants to bring him into a hug, but there is a gaping hole before them, between who they both of them used to be and who they are now. Not only Alek has changed, she has remembered her past lives and with that came the certainty that she is as much of a killer as anyone else. That she is willing to forgive more than she had thought possible, if it meant getting her friend back. “I just wanted to check on you, and maybe talk? But only if you want to.”

Over the last month she had taken a grand total of three swordsmanship lessons, and she is beginning to regret it. She can manage, barely, but hindsight really is 20/20 and she wishes she had picked up more melee training before, since martial arts didn't seem too useful against zombies. The iron blade cuts through a skeleton as the little silver dragon circles above and makes her look up to see Alek just a few steps away.

"Oh, hi? Enjoying the entertainment?" Not her best retort, but most of her energy is focused on making sure no creature gets to close to bite. "I, for one, fucking hate this bullshit."

After flashing his ID to the bouncer outside the black out doors, Neri was allowed into one of the clubs he’d been surveillance for a couple weeks. As interesting as it was to watch the way a vampire might hunt it’s unaware human pray among the warm bodies and thrumming music - he was on a mission to find a werewolf. The lights bounced purples and pinks, lasers shooting out in every direction above the dance floor creating a shutter flash effect that made everyone look like they were moving in slow motion. This was fucked. As much as he planned it out on paper and ran through ever scenario in his head, his chances of finding his target in this mass of bodies was low. Slipping into the grimy mens bathroom he popped a cigarette into his mouth, the music muffled, it gave the hunter a moment of peace to think.

But it seemed fate was on his side when he heard a mumbled voice ask for a cigarette. Looking up, dark hues landed on his very target. Neri’s heart started racing, not from fear but the excitement of finally finding the bastard he’d followed into the city. Swallowing down the urge to immediately go for the kill. Neri wasn’t stupid, there were hundreds of witnesses. He had to the beast outside or in the basement away from prying eyes. “What do I get outta it? I’m not a charity.”

“I am not doing anything suspicious I swear,” Evy says, knowing damn well that sounds suspicious as hell, when talking to the alpha of the Lupo pack. Her only safeguard is that she really isn’t doing anything suspicious. Her feet had gotten away from her and she has somehow ended on the road heading to New Rome, and directly into the man that had been floating around her thoughts. On a way, she doesn’t know how to feel about the younger Gray. More often than not, Evy had been an only child, so while she has witnessed enough sibling relationships to know conflict follows, but Alek had nearly killed Andreas and she can’t quite understand how the little boy she used to play with could do that. “Which sounds suspicious but since Andreas forgave you, I am legally not allowed to try to start shit so.”

It came as an intrusive thought. I wonder where my dog has gone. Zahrya had been through much since he first encountered Alek, and being a pet owner was low on his priority list. As time went on and boredom took root, it was only natural that his mind would wander to the mundane. At first, he thought a quick peek around Rome would suffice. The pollens of the forest have mixed well with the flora of the city beyond, allowing Zahrya to ask the gardens for help without even leaving his post. But none had seen the pup since the party which is what compelled him to try a little harder. He could sense the touch of his magic on Alek from when he first sang to heal the young one's body and used that as his link. He’s had practice with his siren songs now and was able to sing at a pitch only Alek could hear. Zahrya beckoned him to the forest and willed him to come at all costs. He wanted his pet now that he remembered he had one, he craved the entertainment only such an interesting dog could bring. The music is sweet and inviting, implying that Alek has nothing to fear for being absent all this time. Zahrya just wants to see him, and a truly loyal pet would follow the sound of a song made just for them. He’s sure of it.
