The holidays usually meant a lot of baked goods going out the door. People who had parties and family gatherings to attend and didn’t have the time or talent to make something special to bring. Which was where Lilith came in. However, it also meant that for a few weeks after the holidays, business was slow. Alex had accepted her plea to keep her company in the kitchen and help out with the baking for the following day, so she had him in charge of kneading some of the bread dough, only glancing over occasionally to make sure he didn’t need help. After placing the next batch of sugar cookies in the oven and setting a timer, she turned back to him and made a tsking noise, her eyes alight with mischief. “You need more flour or the dough is going to start sticking to the counter,” she offered before grabbing a handful of flour and flicking it in the general direction of the table, making sure to get most of it on his shirt as she grinned innocently. “Oops!” @aleksanderwilson
