Alex was extremely self-conscious when she and Emily had their first time, especially because she had spent many years repressing her sexuality because of her traumatic past. It was perfect for her, but afterwards she was nervous about whether it was as enjoyable for Emily as it was for her; and Emily spent many minutes just whispering assurances to her.
