Three days, Three nights
The evening was calm when Lynathia and Vellidan gazed open Alendra. Her expression was calm, yet both the Hunters knew, that inside, she was dying of fear of what was yet to come.
V:”As you know, my glaives are no more. That is why I will make an exception for you, this once. You will use the glaives of someone who I trust worthy, who I trained myself from a worthless, stubborn and heroic elf, into a machine, that drives on emotions, that is made to only do the right thing.” Vellidan took a deep breath, being nice wasn’t very easy for him. Especially not in time like these. One of his own, has fallen and the other one is too busy with his own stupid thoughts and stupid past, that he rather goes out of a room, then stay and do what is right. The thought of that made Vellidan furious, so furious he could destroy this whole estate by just screaming the anger from out of his lunges. Alendra gave a simple nod and Lynaethia knew, even though she doesn’t agree with him, that he was talking about her. She hesitated a few seconds, keeping her gaze upon her glaives, before handing them over to Alendra. Behind Vellidan hung another pair of glaives, those of his brother, Alaroth. Varothan gave them to Illethiann, so perhaps, one day he might have use for them. And today seemed a good day. He slowly took the glaives from the wall and couldn’t help but smirk, inspecting them. V:”There is no room for fear anymore.. Not now, not amongst us. The moment you wish to cry, you swallow it in and keep it, until the day you leave this room. No rest, no food, no speaking.. The only thing you’ll live on for the next three days and three nights are my words and water.” Alendra simply nodded, sweat dripping from her forehead. Vellidan stabbed the glaives inside the ground and peered towards her eyes, slowly surrounding his whole body with fel. Lynaethia turned her gaze away from him, like she knew what was about to happen. Slowly she pulled herself up, making sure her feet are not on the ground. Alendra blinked, keeping the glaives in front of her as some sort of shield. Lynaethia couldn’t help but smirk at the naivety of the young female. Not a second later a green wave of corrupted fire flies over the ground, like a big wave in the sea towards each wall in the room. Alendra in shock of what just happened, carried with them. Her entire body one big blister. She couldn’t help but sniff, trying to endure the pain of the burns, but not without leaving a single tear. V:”Bite the pain away.” A:”Easy for you to sa-.” Another wave of fel knocks her into the wall, the pain becoming worse and worse. V:”No talking and especially not if you’re trying to be a smart mouth.” Vellidan his expression is serious as he walks towards her, offering his hand. Alendra takes it, but not without feeling a bit suspicious about it. V:”Fel.. corrupted arcane, the power of my enemy.. The power you will wield.” Slowly his right hand starts to glow green, as a sphere of corrupted arcane gets created upon it. V:”Tap it and make it yours. You’re a Sin’dorei, you’re able to do this.” Slowly Alendra walks towards his hand, raising her own hand towards it, as green small beams of fel magic get absorbed into her own body. The feeling is disgusting. Or at least that is what Lynaethia is thinking. And only a few seconds later her thoughts are confirmed, as Alendra falls on her knees, puking. V:”Are you done?” A:”Do I loo-.” The moment she opens her mouth three fingers get pushed in it. Making her vomit even more. V:”It is not because I ask a question, you need to answer with words.” Alendra has tears in her eyes, the muscles in her stomach are sore and her entire body is in pain. Yet something inside her, perhaps the fear of failing, made her look up and tap the fel once more. For the next hours Vellidan and her practiced with changing the form of fel and the possible things you’re able to do with it. Is pleased both Lynaethia and Vellidan that she was not giving up, although, the chance that it is because she fears him, was big. The second day Vellidan taught her how to wield glaives effectively. Not as detailed as he wished, sadly enough. But good enough for her to use it in combat. By the fall of the evening, Alendra started to fall on her knees. She was tired and not able to do much anymore. Vellidan frowned and rushed towards her, but only to be stopped by Lynaethia, who had her head bowed. L:”Shan’do.. perhaps.. we should give her some rest, some time for herself.” V:”Time is something we do not have, Tero’shan.” L:”I know, Shan’do. But perhaps we could train while she does so?” Vellidan gave her a simple nod. V:”Very well.” Lynathia bowed her head once more, slowly walking towards Alendra, only to pick her up and place her in the bad in the room next to the one they were in. The rest of the remaining days Lynaethia and Vellidan sparred, they sparred without resting. Every question Lynaethia had, she had to ask while focusing on fighting as well. By the first light of the third day, the door slowly opened. It was Rei’ann. Vellidan had asked her to open the door after three days and three nights. And she did, not too soon or too late, but precisely when she had too. R:”It is time.” Vellidan and Lynaethia lowered their glaives and walked towards the door, followed by a horrible looking Alendra afterwards. Rei’ann felt sorry for the girl, but something in those three days changed her. Her expression wasn’t the idiotic one from the elf that entered the room. Somehow her expression became stronger, more serious. The smart mouth was gone and a more serious elf was born. Vellidan placed his hand on Alendra her shoulder, as some sort of gesture to comfort her. V:”Stay close and follow our lead. You’ll do fine.” Alendra gave him a single nod, taking a deep breath. Slowly the two hunters and Alendra walked out of the estate, while Rei’ann stared at their backs.
