In this story, the world where the kids live in was created on a whim, so everything is a little bit upside down and because of that their lands are not individual planets but more like different countries in a huge planet so everyone is somehow connected.

Alex’s land is actually the one i like the most of them all, because its not really that big and is basically Alex building and many railroads. The railroads are tied directly with his mission as the Page of Blood. He has to travel the railroads and get to the other lands from the others players and in doing so he unites the lands and the others players can use the railroads too. So his mission is literally getting the team together.  

Also the inhabitants are red lizards:

And the lizards transform into monsters at night and attack Alex because the lizards represent Alex fears to not being strong enough or being late in his mission, and to acomplish the mission he has to defeat his fears.
