day 2 in college

Day 2 in college and already turning trash into architecture

Today was my first day in studio....... Classrooms of budding architecture students in my college are known as studios. We were given some trash ... like used or wasted chart pieces, broom sticks, jute thread, a pair of satin ribbon, transparent tape and a glue that won't stick ....and asked to make a tower from our imagination... #TOWER FROM TRASH 🙄😶‍🌫️ Ughh....the glue was really annoying....the time given was also too little....like just 2 hours...😑 So tadaaa🎉 Here is my trash from trash😶😶

I never think about how strange my Design Studio projects sound to other people until I talk about them out loud.

"No, sorry. I have a paper orchid neck piece due and need the laser cutter."

"I'm making a wooden kids toy and need to learn bandsaw safety."

"I can't go to the football game, I have rotating stained glass circles due Monday."

College is great, guys.

Aqua Tower By Studio Gang In Chicago

Aqua Tower is an 82-story mixed-use skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Designed by Studio Gang Architects, Aqua Tower combines a hotel, offices, rental apartments, condominiums, and parking, along with one of Chicago’s largest green roofs. According to architects, the design of the building was inspired by the striated limestone outcroppings common in the Great Lakes area. But this sinuous shape is not just a mere formal gesture, but it is also a strategy to extend the views and maximize solar shading.
