“Hey, boss,” Nina quietly said as she buried her hands in her pockets as she walked into the Sheriff’s office. She knew it can’t be easy being the Sheriff of a town where a shootout just happened, and she was on the case but it wasn’t really that hard to figure out. The Devils and the Wolves got backstabbed, and nobody could have prepared themselves for the shitshow that followed. People were digging into the Bandits and the Unfazed that never turned up again but they all knew what had happened -- hence why she was incredibly discouraged to keep working on it. She had left her desk to go visit the man, hoping he was in need of a break as well, especially since it was so late in the night and she knew she’d just end up getting more and more frustrated if she stayed there. “You wanna go have a beer or somethin’? I feel like we kinda deserve that,” Nina said, showing him a small smile as she leaned against the door. “Come on, I’m buyin’,” she added.
