Character: Charles Vincent
Grace stood in front of her closet and groaned.
Should she wear a dress? Or would that look like she was trying too much?
Should she wear pants? Or would that be not trying enough?
“What’s with you?” Selene asked walking in the room smirking at the younger girl.
“Nothing!” Grace said blushing.
“Trying to figure out what to wear for your boyfriend?” Selene asked teasingly walking over to the closet going through the clothes.
“He’s not my boyfriend! Maybe I just wanted to look nice for once! I haven’t made myself look nice in a while! It has nothing to do with Charles!”
Selene let out a loud laugh as she said, “And you know exactly who I’m talking about. I’m sorry he isn’t your boyfriend..he’s your crush. Your major crush. The same one that you seem to constantly be sneaking out at night to go see.”
Grace flushed scarlet as she said, “I didn’t admit to any of that! All I wanted to do was look nice for once! Will you just shut up and help me?”
Selene laughed as she said, “Hm...skirts aren’t your thing...have you wore a dress with him yet?”
Grace shook her head, “No...mom had to take me shopping for new dresses first. I didn’t have any that fit me. They’re in the back.”
Selene grabbed the dresses and glanced at them before announcing, “I like the pale pink one, and the light red one. The pale blue one isn’t bad either…”
Grace groaned, “Selene you’re supposed to help me!”
Selene grabbed the light red one and mused, “This had long sleeves and it’s not too tight...but, it’s not too loose either...and it’ll bring out your eyes...this one!”
Grace took the dress and walked into the bathroom to change. As she walked out her hands played with the hem of the the dress that reached just below her knees. Her gaze nervously glued to the ground as she hesitantly awaited Selene’s verdict on the dress.
“Perfect!” Selene slid a thin black belt through the belt loops on the dress before reaching over to the dresser and grabbing eyeliner, demanding, “Look up.”
Grace groaned and looked up as she said, “You really don’t have to do all of this Selene.”
Selene smiled and said, “It’ll piss your brother off and I was never gifted with a younger sister. So I do have to do all this.”
Selene did Grace’s eyeliner quickly. Grace walked away after slipping on the flats Selene choose for her and brushed her long curly brown hair.
Selene smiled as she said, “You look perfect. I did good. Now go see your loverboy.”
Grace blushed as she hit Selene and yelled, “He isn’t my loverboy! He’s a friend!”
Selene laughed as she grabbed her side, “One that you wanted to get all dolled up for that you changed at least five times before I got here judging from all the outfits thrown around the room.”
Grace flushed as she walked out of her room and made her way to where Charles was staying.
