Whenever I’m feeling unmotivated and can’t move from my spot (or if I’m doomscrolling endlessly), I quietly tell myself to ‘GO GO GO’ like I’m in some kinda task force. It really helps and I get moving to complete whatever task my neurodivergency has put off once again!

Thank you sending me this ask! I think what I need rn is some positivity through these trying times 💜

1. I like my music taste a lot — if you had asked me what my favourite genre is, I don’t think I’d be able to answer you.

2. I love my glasses — they’re very pilot-esque aviators and plus they’re the only thing that allows me to see lol, that’s a huge plus.

3. I like my writing skills — but oh boy if it’s not hard to do it. There’s a lot of motivation needed for me to actually write, but when I do, it’s 100% worth it. I’ve been infatuated with writing since primary school and I don’t think that will ever change and I’m fine with that. Sometimes I just need an extra push in the right direction and I’ll hand you a novel. Out of all of the hobbies I’ve burned out from, writing will never be one of them. I am happy to say that I will carry that to the grave.

4. I like my voice acting abilities — I have been a non-professional VA for years and do it for fun, never for work or anything. It’s just something I like to practice upon from time to time. As a trans man pre-T, it’s basically the only way I can speak in a deep, manly and RUGGED voice. It’s a fun time!

5. Last but certainly not least, I love my mutuals — you guys are wicked sick and I say it a lot but the meaning is still there. You make tumblr a little more bearable for me and that’s special. Thank you for being you! <3

I was thinking about a friend I had who when I came out to him as trans, he said later on that he hates people who make their identity their entire personality. I hadn’t noticed how off that sounded until I unfriended him. There’s no problem with enjoying your identity and sexuality as your personality and enthusing about it in your day-to-day life. The people who tell you not to are the ones you need to cut out.

Needless to say, that friend of mine said he wasn’t gay if we ever had sex. And I am a trans man. That’s pretty fucked up of him.
