I liked the episodes about Margaret’s visit to the White House, Aberfan, and Charles’ time in Wales. The one about the coup/horses and Phillip feeling useless again had me nodding off. I haven’t gotten past the Phillip Befriends Vicars episode. Really, I just want them to get to the part where Margaret parties with Mick Jagger in the Caribbean.
Yeah, Aberfan and Tywysog Cymru are the best ones and Moondust definitely the worst. lol
The next episode with the Duke of Windsor is better and you get Margaret partying in the Caribbean in the last episode.
Overall a pretty disappointing season. And it’s not the change in cast that’s bothering me. As I said Olivia Colman plays the stuck-up really well and Helena Bonham Carter is great as Princess Margaret. The storyline choices, that’s what’s puzzling me... Why waste an entire episode on the completely irrelevant moon landing?? They spent an episode introducing Philip’s mother but only mentioned her death in passing. Why did they choose to overlook Princess Anne’s kidnapping attempt for example? That would have made for an interesting storyline. Let’s hope season 4 will be better...
