LAST COPIES! Tryouts: Potentials of Game Available at www.draw-down.com Fourteen posters reflecting on the sportification of society in an international context. Sportification is interdisciplinary research focused on analyzing the subject of sport, of agōn ("contest") and of game in the contemporary moment. The basis of the work is a critical-comparative and sociological analysis dictated by a wide archive of images and videos of the famous Europe-wide TV show Giochi Senza Frontiere (also known as Jeux Sans Frontieres, or Spiel Onhe Grenzen, or It’s a Knockout), which constitutes a master guide and a “true” archeology of competitive action from the times of picturesque villages, to Eurovision, passing through the post-political era of European Community. The project deals both with the utopia of a playful society and with the social musculature leading to “sportification” of the collective body and to the politicization of sport.
