@callme917 , NineOneSeven, or just 917 was created by none other than Alex Olson. Alex Olson was born into skating, surfing and style, with his dad Steve Olson working undeniably as a pioneer in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The phone number (917) 692-2706 was the origins of Olson’s more fashion influenced Bianca Chandon, before it assumed its current status, this made way for Call Me 917 to run as a straight up skating alternative, with Alex giving back to his roots. Alex Olson describes Call Me 917 as a core skate brand, working with a limited run of skate shops, it’s with this selective attitude that 917 keeps things real. Working with a tightknit team consisting of: Alex Olson, Max Palmer, Johnny Wilson, Genesis Evans and new for 2019 Tino Razo, NineOneSeven has dropped some sick, contemporary skate edits, showcasing the style surrounding the brand. The Call Me 917 collection grows stronger with each new season, which often nods to skateboardings past through graphic elements, this includes the Call Me 917 Swiss Alps T-Shirt, with references to the old Powell Peralta videos. 917 works to capture the mystique and misfit youth within skateboarding, revealing the true essence.
