Before touring around, Alez had to make a quick pit-stop at the bathroom before he would pee himself. After washing his hands, he saw someone had opened the door and was coming inside.

“I’m so sorry! Oh, it’s you!” Gwen jumped with excitement. Alez and Gwen had secretly been seeing each other. They both came to the conclusion that life is, sad to say, too short to not be crazy. She went behind him and began to rub his back. “We haven’t had a chat in a while...”

Alez turned around, wanting to leave the bathroom, but Gwen threw herself at him. “Is there anything you want to...try, Alez?”

As weird as Gwen was, Alez loved her body. ‘Who knew such a weird lookin’ girl could have such a nice body?’ was his biggest defense if anyone were to find out about them. They’ve had to keep being careful around their other classmates so that no one would find out about them.

The twins were about to make their way out the door when Alez suddenly stopped. 

“Man, this shit is depressing. It feels like everyone’s suddenly dying, dude. Fuck that, I’m not tryna be next.”

Cruz got sad when he heard his brother say that. “We’re not next, dude. We’ll stick through this shit together. If anything, we can just.. run away. If things start to get too crazy we’ll just leave. But for now, we must keep going to school. Alright?”

They gave each other a bro hug and kept walking towards campus.

It was now the morning after the lock down and the morning underclassmen all gathered in front of their dorms to share a moment of silence in memory of Jonas.

Jenna had luckily missed out in the lock down for she didn’t go to school that day. “You’re lucky you didn’t go through what we did.” Said Victoria, sitting on the floor.

“I was too depressed about Kaitlin. And now, we lost another person from our dorms. It’s a good idea that they’re giving us a break until next semester. We really need it to... calm down.” As Jenna was talking tears were flooding her eyes.

Ian looked over at the twins. “Three girls and three guys. Started off with four of each. What a fuckin’ mess.”

As everyone was talking, Gwen was staring off into space, wondering what the other students were doing.

Back at the dorms, Jenna gathered all the underclassmen and explained what she went through earlier on in the morning.

“I left early to.... Talk to the te-teacher because I... I was going to request to sit closer to the-the-the front of the class... and when I walked in, she... the teacher.. was... dead...”

A silent gasp went across all of the students.

Jonas was the first to break the silence.

“My uncle came to this school like 13 years ago and he had that teacher.. I remember him telling me she would always take sick days off.. Maybe it was just time for her to go.. right?”

Alez’s face grew worried. He was beginning to laugh nervously. “Well.... It’s not like she would have been killed... Right? That’s just ridiculous...”

Gwen was next to speak. “What did she teach anyway, math? I never liked math. This is scary. I don’t like this one bit.”

They all shared a moment of silence and then went back to their rooms.

The Woods twins were next to arrive to the dorms. Once they were by the front doors they both took a minute to soak everything in. High School. A part of their lives they just wanted to get over.

“No point on just standing around, let’s go check out our dorm! Good thing we’re dorm buddies, it’d be weird having to sleep in the same room with another dude..”

After several wrong turns, they were finally in their dorm room. They weren’t quite excited when they got there, but it was good enough. Cruz, the more social twin, was first to notice some things that weren’t there.

“Mom said there were TVs in each room. This is very upsetting.”

Alez was more aware of the real life. He knew his mother filled Cruz’s mind up with sweets and candy about this place.

“Cruz... Mom would have said anything in order for us to get the hell out of her house.”

He was right. Their mother was never truly fond of her children. The two boys kept looking around their dorm room and started unpacking their luggage.
