Hello! I’m worried about making this post, but I’ve decided that it’s probably the right thing to do; the main is officially closing. I’ve remained upbeat about this group, but I don’t really feel like the drive/inspiration is there as much as I want it to be and losing more members than we’ve been gaining is disheartening, so while it’s been an extremely fun ride and I love this group very much, I’m going to close the main now rather than let it slowly peter out. That being said, you are welcome to continue using your characters for as long as you wish (I will still probably get on Louis every once and a while), interact here if you want, whatever, but no activity limits will be imposed, or no new updates will come from the main. This does, of course, give more freedom, and you can mess with the timeline however you wish, do whatever you want -- consider your character my gift to you, and at this point, they are now your intellectual property, since you’ve done so much more with them than I could ever have. So, you’re welcome to branch off and use them in 1x1s, whatever else. I only ask that you not use them in your own bio rps or whatever (that goes without saying right?), and this extends to current members only. I can’t thank you enough for being a part of Finding Alfie for 3 months. If you strongly agree with this decision, I don’t really know what to do other than apologize -- you may message me if you wish, and we could discuss possibilities of you taking the group off my hands if you are so inclined. But mostly I’m just sorry and I’m glad for the adventure that we got thus far. 

In regards to the Dani applications in my inbox, I understand that it sucks to have applied for a group that may be closing, but it’s much better for me to turn down application to a dying group rather than accept and welcome you as tumbleweeds roll by. I encouraged applications because I had hoped I could get some for a variety of roles and revive the dash, but that was probably quite ambitious. I would like to thank you for your time and interest though, and I appreciate your understanding. 

So, that all being said, you might be wondering, Where was Alfie? What the hell, Quinn, how could you leave us with that kind of cliffhanger? Don’t worry, the answer to that question is coming, I promise. Since I am not able to give you the full plot, I will still provide you with it’s conclusion, which will undoubtedly be a letdown after such suspense.

Hello, this is just a notice that I will be mostly absent from the main from April 3rd-12th, so any concerns regarding the group will be addressed upon my return. This group is fairly self-sufficient so I’m not too worried about taking a break, however, please continue on with the plot drop and interaction, since I will be doing an activity check when I get back on the 12th. Any blogs that have been inactive for five days will be re-opened unless you message me prior to that date. 

Concerning Danika (and hopefully Donnie), I will be setting up a small queue and intend to accept on Thursday April 9th, when I will have time, so please try to send your applications by Wednesday the 8th. I know this is a long way off, but it’s the best I can do right now! Anyway, thanks so much for your patience and for being dedicated enough to this that I’m totally comfortable leaving for vacation. In other news, this group has been around 2 months (as of March 24th), and here’s to a great third month! When I return there will be a new letter, and hopefully some big news.

Today, the gang has chosen to depart from the Grand Canyon and begin their journey to Yellowstone National Park. However, hiking back to the van, Cody slipped and sprained his ankle. Naturally because of this, the group has been presented with a number of problems that have prevented them from leaving Arizona immediately. The first of which is that the roads leading away from the Canyon are quite windy and dangerous, and Cody is the group’s best driver. Inevitably, there is to be heavy debate over who will take over the treacherous job. Another concern is whether or not to seek medical attention. The group is on the run and a group of teenagers in their size is bound to draw attention. They have no insurance, medical records, or enough cash on them, however, a fast recovery for Cody is in the best interest of the entire group.

Dear friends,

Are you tired of beautiful scenery and national parks yet? If so, I’m sorry, you’re still in the west, so I’m asking you to hit all of my favorite parks. If you wanted, you could head straight to Colorado, but I’d really love it if you could hit Yellowstone, first. The map is enclosed, and you should head there and stay a night. Try to avoid coyotes. 

That being said, I’ve sort of got two surprises waiting for you in Denver, but I wouldn’t rush ahead. One of them is scheduled for a specific date, so it’ll be impossible for you to rush it. The other surprise, I know some of you won’t like very much. And I’m sorry about that, I really am. I know you guys have been through a lot already and I’m sure your journey has already been full of plot twists. It’s unfair of me to ask more of you. But I’m afraid that I must insist. And I’m sorry that I can’t give you all of the details now.

I hope you guys have been good. By the time this letter gets to you, it’ll have been Imogene’s birthday, and uh, again, I’m sorry I missed it. I’ve enclosed a package, but it’s really important to me that she’s the only one that reads the letter inside. It’s just personal, and I know that some of you might feel that I have no right to keep any more secrets, but I hope that you’ll respect that. If you aren’t Imogene and you read it, I suppose I can’t stop you. And yes, Hana, I know you must be thinking about your own birthday -- we’ll talk about that once you guys get to Yellowstone. But happy birthday to you both!

And thanks so much for humoring me on this...crazy adventure. I’m sorry for putting you through so much, but I think it’s worth it. I regret not telling you about where I was sooner, but...I had to be safe. I’m sorry. I miss you guys.

NOTICE ABOUT THE EVENT.

Alright, so I mentioned in the previous admin post about having an event this Saturday. At the last event, I heard that things really got started up around 7-8 pm CST and lasted until around 12 or so, so that will be the timeframe for the event. I won't be there the whole time, but I'll be there, so everyone should definitely make an effort to try and stop in for at least a little bit of time if your schedule allows (if it would help you to have the timeframe of the event adjusted, please message me today). The last event was a great success and helped solidify a lot of the group dynamic, so I'd really hope this will be the same!

Alright, I'm just going to kick off this post by reminding you of the two open characters.

I understand that these are going to be tough shoes to fill, but since this is such a small group, it's imperative that we fill them as soon as possible. There are lots of things planned for the future and it's just better that we get them filled before those things happened. I would have liked to get them filled before this weekend, but I understand that this may not be easy. But I'll keep promoting and praying that I can get someone to have an interest in my boys!!

However, speaking of this weekend, the character birthday list indicates that we have two very special birthdays coming up! I don't think this year is a leap year, but I don't see any reason why we can't celebrate. So, would next Saturday evening be a good time for you guys to hold Danika and Donnie's birthday party? It would follow the same format as our last event, maybe even a similar timeframe (though probably a little later, taking into account when things got started up last time). Please let me know if this conflicts with your schedule sooner rather than later so I can release official times for this event soon, probably on Wednesday. 

Also, please do not forget about the challenges! There is, of course, no time limit on these, so just get to it when you can, but I've really enjoyed hearing about your headcanons regarding your character's futures! Here is a link to the challenge - if you've posted yours and I've missed it, always let me know. Generally, I will 'like' your posts to let you know that I've seen it. And also that it probably made me cry.

In other news, this group is older than a month!!! That's extremely exciting, and I hope we're going to be around for many months more because there's way more in my drafts for us to do!

Hi guys, it’s time for another one of these. If you’ve still got a few to catch up on from the last one, that’s okay. This one should be fairly simple and straightforward, and again, the length of your answer will probably depend on whether your character is talkative or reticent.

Essentially, the prompt is “Do you believe  ____?” So, you send a character things like “Do you believe in love?” or “Do you believe that you’ll find Alfie?” So on and so forth. Please send everyone in the group at least one, if not more!
