Lyrical Strally - Grime Street (Prod. Ali McK x Jhuttz) by 1Forty 1Forty stands by its ethos of bringing through upcoming talent and linking them up with established names. This time with YGG’s Lyrical Strally on vocals, and 1Forty stalwart Ali McK bringing through fellow Midlands producer Jhuttz on the buttons to create a hard hitting modern day grime anthem ‘Grime Street’. Premiered by Complex UK on 13th December 2018. Alongside PK & Saint P, Lyrical Strally has helped YGG form the perfect trio with 3 distinctive flows controlling sets on Boiler Room, Just Jam, 1Xtra, NTS and Rinse FM with the help of their DJ - Travis T. Since their breakthrough year in 2015 on AJ Tracy’s ‘Red Bull’ the group have gone on to dominate the Grime scene through sets and releases. An official remix for Sir Spyro’s smash hit ‘Side By Side’ in 2016 saw them sign to Logan Sama’s ‘Keepin It Grimey’ Label early in 2017 which their debut EP ‘World Domination’ released through. 2018 saw the trio sign to Flowdans ‘Spent Shell’ where under his management they released their biggest single to date on Astral Black - ‘Strikers’. This summer also saw them run an ad campaign alongside Sir Spyro earlier this year for Nike & FootLocker. Since 2017 they have appeared at a whole host of festivals including Glastonbury and the reputation defining Outlook Festival in Croatia. Providing the beat is Nottingham’s Ali McK & Leicester’s Jhuttz. Ali was a debutant on the Label back in May 2018 with a funky flip of Wileys ‘We’re Ready’ which received huge support from Toddla T. He has been a key player in the resurgence of UK Funky this year with releases also on More Time Records. With that being said he has always had a huge influence from Grime & Dubstep. He was asked directly by Skream to bootleg his timeless 2006 dubstep track ‘Midnight Request Line’ for his one off special on Rinse FM this summer with D Double E and Marcus Nasty, which soon became one of the most wanted dubs in the scene. Expect to hear his music in the majority of funky sets across Rinse FM & Reprezent right now with regular support from Roska, Jamz Supernova, Murder He Wrote and more. Fellow Midlands producer Jhuttz is another fresh face on the Label. Ali and Jhuttz met through regular appearances at Beastwang supporting the likes of Sir Spyro, Flava D, Killa P, Trilla & more. Having being honing his craft producing for the past 18 months working amongst Nottingham’s next generation of upcoming producers he felt he was ready to put something out.
