⌆ for a story about their family/home life 

Sungyeol clearly remembers the day his older brother comes home with bruises on his face. He hadn’t even tried to hide the scars from his parents and the younger one had seen the deep worry in his mother’s eyes. The way her fingertips moved lightly over the lines and their father called the principal to warn him showed that they cared for their son. 

So, Sungyeol can’t get what is happening when he is caught after a fight between him and another student. His parents take him home silently, not even a word towards the teachers. Sungyeol eats his nails, a bit scared but knows his mother will care for him well.

It doesn’t go as well as he thought it would. His mother yells at him for making a mess out of his clothes. His father tells him to grab a hold of himself or that he would make him change schools. On top of the purple bruise over his left eye, his father leaves a slap mark on his right cheek. 

It burns, burns and burns more. 

Eventually it stops hurting, on the day Sungyeol leaves his family.

Alia nods her head, trying to catch her breath. “Oppa, it’s something I’ve near lost! I’m a firecracker! Pow!” Alia makes a gesture with her free hand, opening her closed fist while her mouth forms a sound effect of an explosion. “You were blown away!”

'Blown away?'

He squints at her with an unimpressed look because what is wrong with everyone in this company? Not that he is not one of the crazy ones but still, some of them are over his head. He lets out a sigh.

'At least I wasn't hurt, fortunately, then.'

"Look out!" Alia screeches as she runs full force into the other, colliding into the male and grabbing his waist to prevent her from falling. "Hi!" She giggles, still holding him.

He is surprised by the warning he hears so he nearly loses his balance as someone hits him full force. He barely holds himself as the girl greets him. He lets a little smile show, then nodding lightly in reply.

'Hey. Still energetic as ever, huh?'
