Available to preorder White Horses Eric Ravilious & Alice Pattullo It’s a thrill to be able to announce that the first book for 2019 will be the reimagining of the ‘lost’ Puffin Picture Book by Eric Ravilious. Ravilious was working on this proposed Puffin during the autumn of 1939 and it reached dummy stage, but sadly no further. His chalk figure watercolours, now considered amongst his finest, have been licensed for this new project and Alice Pattullo, an ardent fan, has provided the black and white pen and ink drawings to complete the book. The standard edition is up on my website now but there will be a limited edition (announced soon) and anyone who has preordered the standard book will be able to upgrade if they wish, The book is in Puffin Picture Book format, 32 pages, but also had a wraparound dustjacket with the sad story of the original venture placed in context.
