“You’ve bested me, starfish,  but how will you defeat…. my loyal pet kraken!”

They had their differences, big and small, but still Milah adored the young girl. “What are you working on?” She knew if it were something artistic she could lend a hand. An insight even if it was one not chose, because even then there would have been a turn taken in a path. Anything else, though? Milah had never felt as smart as Killian, her wonderfully intelligent love, but that had never been an issue in the past. Now? There was another now, one she should lead by example.

All she had to offer were warm hugs and tasty stew. Assuming, of course, the girl’s papa brought home the spices Milah had requested. If not, well. Milah could at least enjoy what she saw, right? “You are so much your father’s child. You know that?”
