World Building Prompt #175
Home Sweet Home by nihiski
Somewhere in space … aliens must have a home.
[black and gray ink pens]
Inktober day 23- Ancient
POV of boy
I followed him into the cave not expecting much. Caves were usually dark and gloomy so I clung to the strap of my bag to calm myself down. What I walked into was even more surprising. The cave had small lights coming in from some hidden source and there were pictures on the walls. The amount of images were cool to look at from scary stories of black eyes to violence between species and even the fortelling of a hybrid savior. Those paled in comparison to the one Manalak stood in front of however. As I walked over to him, I glanced at the drawing he was staring at. It was two aliens reaching for a seemingly glowing feather. The one with their face shown had some sort of stitches on her and the other had their back turned so I didn’t know if they had the same feature. The feather was odd though. I looked down at the one around my neck and then looked up at Manalak. He was just staring at the picture.
“Did... did you have a reason to bring me here?” I asked feeling a lump in my throat.
“There was a story of the outsider who gained a feather from a local would be.... important,” he replied,” I don’t know how though.”
I looked at the picture and held the feather around my neck,” Well... I hope was a good turn of events.”
“I do as well,” Manalak sighed.
