I don't know if you remember me... I'm just stopping by for a second to let you know... Don't go outside after dark! I laughed when my friends told me that and look at what happened? I just finally escaped that hell... I don't remember who it was who told me that... "Stay inside after dark until the moon is full again..." How stupid could someone be to believe something like that? I mean... I laughed, didn't I? And look at me now... I know you're going to laugh too... And then they are going to get you... Chrissakes, at my age you would think I would know better... Ever get your arm cut off with a dull blade and then sewn back on? I did! Eight times the first night they did that! I think it was night... Damn dogs... See how my one arm is shorter by four inches? Damn dogs... Gawd but how I hated when they would stick those needle things into my eyeballs... You can't feel your eyeballs, you know... But your brain thinks it can! The bastards would take turns... Needle in my eye... Make me think that they stuck a needle in my eye... Thinking it hurts just as much as the real thing, for Chrissakes! The sun will be up soon... We'll be safer then. They can see a little bit when the sun is bright but it hurts their heads so they don't bother. Poor babies! That's how I escaped... It was super bright and I just stood in front of a storefront window that was reflecting the sun back at them... They didn't know where I went... Whatever you do? Don't go to Allanburg... It's been taken over... Damn things look like a cross between a crocadile and brown crane... Yeah, full size flying crocodiles with a 20 foot wingspan... Gawd but I feel like I'm going to start crying again... I need sleep... Lots of sleep... I'm going to lay down here, ok? It should be safe enough... The sun comes up in an hour or so, right?
