It's not relevant until your D&D character has to cross a carpeted library to find a cure for their best friend in the thickest book in the building.
you. you get it.
the rug thing is bc he and his party ran across a rug mimic while fighting rezmir, and the rug tried to suffocate him (and almost succeeded). now he has an intense distrust of rugs, especially large floor rugs.
the illiterate thing has absolutely come up before though lmao. he knows four languages (common, elvish, dwarvish, and infernal) but i thought it'd be funny if he didn't know how to read. in-universe it's bc he learned from miners and traders passing through his village, so there was no need to learn to read when he was just talking face to face.
there's been a couple times when our dm was like "anybody know dwarvish?" and I got all excited before remembering that nope, corrin can only speak it, so we have to delegate to max (sorcerer and team dad) to read it lmao
also unrelated to the ask but I'd like to remind the class that corrin is a half elf barbarian with the path of the totem warrior, again bc I thought it'd be funny
