Big oof about that weirdo artist, sucks when good art is tainted by bad behavior. I ended up watching Hoppers and that Jerbal thing is even more head scratching b/c even if they came to an understanding by the end, that doesn’t mean they have to like each other. Scrolling through the tag and you have people trying to make Jerry her 'father figure' when like she doesn't even need one and also George is right there and probably was way more caring than Jerry ever was in the film. They really want this white man to be important to her by virtue of being an older white man and forgo thinking about their relationship in any meaningful way

It really is so dire at times...like people are already misreading what this film has to say, and now they're trying to read a family dynamic where there isn't one? Like, at most, AT MOST, I can see a platonic bond between 'em, but that's being generous cause I really don't see Mabel interacting with Jerry unless she absolutely has to or just wants to bother him. Characters can change their perspective of one another and still have the same opinion of them, that's still a valid form of growth.

Hey, so like. Do we think I can get away with writing the Pheonix Witch delivering letters from the dead? The wiki didn't say anything about it, but like. Mailboxes work both ways? So like theoretically one might be able to recieve a letter from the recently deceased? Or maybe someone who passed a while ago but didn't have anyone to pass anything along for them so it took the Phoenix Witch a minute to find them and now they're able to pass on a letter?
