absolutely hilarious to me that zangoose and seviper are mutually exclusive to either Pokemon X or Y, but the two species are canonically mortal enemies

like the only way you can encounter a zangoose in Pokemon Y is in a horde battle, wherein you might find a single zangoose in the midst of a band of sevipers, all of whom will completely ignore your pokemon in favor of their apparently timeline-spanning race war, and there is literally no other way to obtain a zangoose in the game without trading

so it’s a fucking race to catch the fucking thing before it gets itself killed by what you can only imagine must be the first sevipers it’s ever seen in its entire life

also love the implication here that this zangoose has evidently *traveled across dimensions*, for the perhaps **sole purpose** of squaring up with its mortal enemy

like this zangoose really woke up, went “a world exists where the seviper still exists. i must traverse the boundary between universes and correct this mistake”

and then immediately got his ass kicked by like four level 5 sevipers. a hate that spans worlds. absolute fucking legend.

anyway my partner forgot about this universal fucking constant rivalry and immediately used false swipe on the zangoose, thereby forever aligning themselves on the side of the sevipers on this eternal race war, and is now asking me to start playing pokemon x so i can just fucking trade the zangoose to them the way god intended

One of my favorite traits of Yuma that I have to bring up (that kind of applies to Arc as well, at least in one case) is how nosy he is.. There's like multiple instances of him quietly lurking somewhere eavesdropping on people's conversations lol
