How to beat Corrupted Shao of Alishan with Zero, Child of God

Let's be honest, at some time in your MapleStory SEA gaming experience, you must have stunbled upon the quest of Alishan. The quest involves you helping Shaoming to purify the mountain and save Shao, the mountain spirit of Alishan.

If you managed to make it through the very end where you need to defeat Corrupted Shao, excellent! You made it through the difficult hardships without much trouble at all. If not, ah well...not much can be done.

I will talk about my experience of defeating Corrupted Shao...IT IS EXTREMELY HARD! I remember spending 2 hours trying to figure out how to defeat her without dying immediately from her black hole summoning powers. (Seriously, that one is a bitch.) Not denying the fact I ALSO tried multiple combos with Alpha and Beta repeatedly to shorten her lifespan. However, it did not work well for me.

Even Google couldn't help me, the tips and methods were not as efficient as they claimed.(*sigh deeply*)

Then, I figured out how to beat her. Mind you, it varies according to WHAT CHARACTER YOU USE. Mine is Zero, Child of God at level 120. Here's how I managed to beat her.

1) Use the Time Distortion and Time Holding skill from the Transcendants skill category. YES!

When you are at level 120, Time Holding skill is unlocked for you to use. This is extremely useful in surviving her black hole summoning attack, you won't even die from it. The skill grants you invincibility and it literally freezes your stats for a limited amount of time. However, this skill needs to recharge every 2 minutes. SO, within the 2 minute time frame, try to deal alot of damage at the same time, make sure you do not overdo until she summons her black hole power with her minions. I MEAN IT.(There's more, I will continue at the next one.)

As for Time Distortion skill, it allows you to deal more damage to Shao no matter what skill or combo. When you use it, a yellow field with the sandglasses at both sides will appear again, for a limited amount of time. This skill requires time to recharge as well, roughly 2 to 3 minutes.Keep her in the field to deal with more damage AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

2) Tag. TAG!

You read it right. TAG! Tag over and over and over again between Alpha and Beta, no matter what skill. But for me, I consistently tag between their first skills, which are the Moon Strike combo(For Alpha) and Rising Slash combo(For Beta). I found out that they deal the most damage when you switch between the two nonstop.

It is also because when you switch, your HP is restored to the max automatically without the need to recover by pressing the key where you placed your Reindeer Milk.(or whatever HP recovery potion/food you use)

3) Keep her in the middle

Yup, keep her in middle. Don't corner her AT ALL. Keeping her at either end will either send you flying in frustration or wasting your energy on your combos.

4) The Basic skills!(Finally)

I experimented a bit with the Zero Basics skills when I was still figuring out ways to defeat Shao. There are two Basic skills you can use, they may not be much. BUT they certainly boost your attack and defense all together better for defeating Shao.

They are:

1. Rhinne's Blessing.

2. Divine Force.

These two assisted me in terms of boosting Attack Power, Defense and reducing damage infliced by Shao.

That is how I defeated Corrupted Shao of Alishan. It may differ depending on how you play or what character you use. I repeat, THIS IS HOW I DEFEATED HER. I hope this is useful to the MapleStory players who are trying to defeat her, good luck!

We visited the famous Alishan for the first time. We did not get to see the sunrise or sea of clouds that many come here for. Instead we took a hike in the mist filled Alishan forest and rode on the Alishan mountain train. There were many tea farms and we visited a small family run tea plantation. Taiwan is truly beautiful, we can’t wait to explore more.
