...It’s been quite some time since Ruby has been able to simply enjoy life instead of worrying about which Daedric Prince was going to come after her next. Even now that she was Molag Bal’s Champion and effectively out of react for most other Daedric Princes, she had to watch her back for Molag Bal himself and whatever method of Domination he wished to subject her to.
At first Ruby was docile and allowed him to do as he pleased. However, the more he left her to her own devices, the more Ruby’s thoughts traveled to her past and to her childhood friends, Trineiya and Dagger. Her desire to return to them, to return to how she used to be, had caused her defiance to raise to never before seen levels.
Eventually she got sick of Molag Bal’s bullshit and proposed a deal to him, if she beat him, he’d release her from her servitude. Amused, Molag Bal accepted it without wanting anything in return. He was so sure that after one or two beatings she’d accept her inferiority and simply give up hope. But he was sorely mistaken...
