Do I like them: I really do! I think she might be my favourite human in TF alongside Marissa Faireborn.

Favourite episode/etc: Most of her scenes were pretty great, but if I had to pick one I might go with the scene where she’s trying to revive Bee with the electric guns.

I assume you're someone very committed to your art and very creative. You seem to be a bit shy but always taking suggestions and comments through here. From your art, I can also assume you like Disney and cartoon a lot :D and that you work very hard in animation.

I am committed to my art and I try to be creative! I’m not shy so much as lazy, I guess? Sometimes I just... forget to interact with people, especially if I’m busy. Sometimes it IS social anxiety, though. I LOVE cartoons and Disney movies, you got that right. And I’m working pretty hard on my animation right now. You’re pretty accurate at this assumption thing!

Top 5 inspirations for writing!

Oh boy, this is hard!

1. Myself. This might sound selfish or arrogant, but I try to write the stories I wanted or needed. There are also stories I have considered writing because I want to try a plot premise or twist but I don’t trust other people to do it properly. (I am...slowly beginning to have this relationship with Dratchet writers. Why do they write them so sappy?) (Ask me about this in a separate ask).

2. JK Rowling. She was the first real author I remember really falling for. I wasn’t allowed to read Harry Potter for a long time, so I snuck it on the sly and just fell in love with it. I wanted so badly to go to Hogwarts, to have magic and to live in a beautiful castle where there were people who would recognize how brilliant I was and wouldn’t mock me for it (I was bullied as a child). As I grew older, HP was also the first fandom that I really engaged with meta for the first time, and it was the first time I learned that you could actually write essays about new books! Of course, JK Rowling has since let me down in multiple ways and it has hurt me deeply, but she is a still a guiding light--if only where not to go.

3. Jane Austen. I really fell in love with Jane when I was around fourteen-fifteen. I had to read Emma for a class and I really struggled with it. Jane’s a little like Shakespeare--when you’re not used to the language, you can’t read the subtext. I gave up on Emma--for the moment--and ended up watching the 2005 Pride & Prejudice. It was such a delight that I found and read the book and I loved it deeply. I still love it deeply. I have read all of her work except Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park (I saw an adaptation and did not care for it), and Lady Susan. I’ll get to Northanger eventually. Persuasion is actually my favorite of all her novels, and it and Emma have codified my love for quiet love stories.

4. Mairghread Scott. She was recommended to me by a friend of mine, who got me into Transformers: Prime (I was so confused during the first five minutes. Who was talking???!!) and then recommended Windblade Vol 1 when I was like ZOMG I NEED MORE. The more I learned about Mairghread Scott, the more my friend and I joked that it was like she was me from the future. We both love Shakespeare, we both wanted Transformers to be more like Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (where religion is treated specifically as a cultural force and not something to be mocked), she gave me everything I wanted, even the things I didn’t ask for, in Windblade Vol 2, we even look a little alike (more now that I’ve cut my hair), and we’re both Pagan. I know she doesn’t have the same regard from the fandom as, say, James Roberts, but I far prefer her style of writing and I would deeply love to emulate her career and work with her one day.

5. Tamora Pierce. She’s the one who ended up complicating what I thought of as ‘fantasy,’ and I’ve been reading her since I was twelve. The first book I read by her was Trickster’s Choice (which is a very confusing place to start, I do not recommend), which is a political espionage thriller that happens to be set in a fantasy universe with a trickster god mucking things up all the time. It was also set in a non-classical-fantasy setting of basically fantasy!Indonesia, which--I don’t know if you’ve seen the post about places on this planet that don’t get used nearly often enough in fantasy settings--was GREAT. I still want to eat all of their food, omg. Fantasy authors, please stop describing food with such love. It makes it really difficult for the foodies to live. She has written books that combined genres within fantasy, and I love that. I have since found other fantasy that does the same thing, but she was my introduction to the fact that yes, fantasy can be a label but it is not the end of what you can do. I read her regularly for my health and sanity, and at some point, if I could, I’d love to adapt Protector of the Small for the screen. Of all her Tortall series, I feel like it would adapt the best, and Kel is a lovely protagonist.

1. When did you join the fandom?

technically in 2005, when I saw the G1 cartoon for the first time, but only really became part of the fandom in 2017 :’D

5. Autobots or Decepticons? Why?

Both have a lot of pros and cons, but the Autobots don’t have Megatron so, gonna have to go with Autobots on this one.

Swindle

Why I like them:

Swindle is literally too relatable at times it’s scary. plus, smol! smol liar! wouldn’t trust him as far as i could throw him, and that’s why i love him.

Why I don’t:

I really like this dude, but if there was one thing that irks me about him is more how openly he will trust a dude if it’s for money. starscream, you amazing manipulating piece of crap, you. It’s more so i was screaming, don’t TRUST HIM SWINDLE throughout that whole arc of taao, but other than that, not really. he is one of my favourite characters.

Hey! I'm sorry if this is very very late. A few days ago I finished reading 'Dogs of Future Past' and I got teary eyed (I don't cry in public XD). I must say that I loved the story, I loved your work and I loved how you pulled everything through. It left me a similar sensation the game left me: like the story is over but it's not REALLY over, happiness has just started. And I think I should thank you for that. It was an amazing ride.
