No matter what your politics are the tragedies that have recently unfolded are horrific and evil. The internet is truly a toxic place whenever these things happen, the mockery that follows is pure evil. The internet allows you to take the human aspect away from all of our social discourse, ending up with a parasocial relationship to someone or something you hate. As far as your brain is concerned, they’re not a ‘real person’ with a family, friends and fears like us, they’re just characters on a screen that represent a set of beliefs you oppose.
