as some of you may know, my gran has been in hospital for the past month. while it was touch and go for a little while, for the last week or so, things had been looking up.

until today. today was a horrible, bad day. she stopped breathing this morning and they had to resuscitate her. she’s incredibly weak (although we think she only stopped breathing this morning due to choking on things she was bringing up as as a result of the chest infection that brought on her earlier heart attack). not that that makes any difference because she stopped breathing and the cpr was really a burden for her.

my parents made the tough choice of signing a dnr, and so that means if it happens again, then we’re going to let her go. and my mum asked a nurse to have a priest come to see her tonight. my mum’s sure she’ll be haunted if my gran doesn’t get last rites.

i’ll still be around here and twitter because i gain nothing from sitting around and just thinking about it - and that’s not what my gran would want anyway.  she might rally. this might not be the end. but i would really ask if you could keep my family and i in your thoughts, or your prayers, or your hearts.

You'll soon learn that the grass isn't always greener, don't go looking for better when you have the best but it's just a case that you don't know it yet, don't lose sight of what's in front of you for what's ahead, if you're destined to reach there and it's in your fate then you will reach it eventually but until then just be patient and wait to see first if that's your matter or the situation in this case.
