Album Review: Miami Horror 'All Possible Futures'

I've been so stoked ever since I heard that Australian electro-pop band Miami Horror was going to be releasing their sophomore album All Possible Futures this year. I've been a huge fan ever since I first listened to "Holidays (feat. Alan Palomo)" back in 2010. I was lucky enough to get a sneak at the album the release.

All Possible Futures sounds like the transition album for Miami Horror. There are some tracks that echo the synthpop style they had in their debut album Illuminations but there are also tracks that show that the band's style is slowly evolving. 

"Love Like Mine" is the third track on the album and it is one of the defining tracks of the album. It has the groove and disco feeling of the late 70s, and it sounds a little like Prince's classic tracks. "Love Like Mine" has an upbeat sound and some sassy lyrics to really give it an 80s electropop edge. 

I think that I will say that Miami Horror's classic synthpop/dance pop tracks are still my favorites. I still find that the true gems in their music is the synth base and their musical compositions of each track is absolutely stunning. Their songs are thick with beautiful electronica, interweaving to make such luscious tracks. My top two tracks are probably "Cellophane (So Cruel)" and "(Maybe I Need You)".

Truly a stellar album

Miami Horror's All Possible Futures will be released on April 21.
