I got slapped in the face today by a Pro Israeli supporter who didn't like that I didn't support the Israelis in what I consider an unlawful occupation of Palestine. As if hitting me is somehow going to make the attack on Palestine just or even morally acceptable. I dare you to come at me on the intellectual field I don't need violence to project my thoughts and beliefs on people and when it comes down to it what we all anyone wants is peace so excuse me for believing war is not needed to achieve such I heightened concept. To accept war as the only plausible route to peace is ludicrous but in our modern, righteous society we don't let the spoils of war dictate our opinions and warp I morals right? Wrong. After I was slapped open hand in the face I shook it off and walked away with my head held high knowing I didn't sink to his level, knowing that I stood up for what I thought was right and in the end I felt my words held more weight then any right hand ever could.
