Yesterday, we said goodbye to Bangkok and hopped on an overnight sleeper train to Chiang Mai. But, not before getting tattoos to commemorate our visit!

We'd both been wanting to get our first tattoo for a while, and the folks at All Day Tattoo gave us an amazing inaugural experience. We sent them our requested designs last week, and they showed us several options at our appointment. Once we chose the final designs and placements, they explained all the steps and sanitizing procedures to make sure we were comfortable. It really wasn’t that painful- about equivalent to a sunburn.

My appointment ran a little long, to the point that I was getting nervous about missing the train. But it was worth it- I’m so happy with my tattoo. I have a feeling it won’t be my last one. I don’t think that will be my last visit to Bangkok either.
