After surviving an accident that claimed the lives of her parents, Allen ended up in an uncaring system. Bouncing from home to home she suffered unspeakable abuse. By the tender age of twelve, her growing habit of running away had her on first-name basis with local law enforcement, but despite her many cries for help, she wouldn’t catch a break until her adoption two years later. The Berrys were successful businessmen who had two children and wanted another. Feeling as though they were too old to raise a child from infancy, they went with someone older.

Sadly, Allen’s time in the system haunted her every move. Leaving her unable to bond with them or their children. And over time she put a strain on their marriage and family dynamic. After graduation, she left on the first thing smoking and never looked back. She worked odd jobs to get from place to place and developed a love for documenting her travels. When the New Year hit, the girl found herself in the city that never sleeps.

There was something about the hustle and bustle that made her feel as though she could start over. After finding a reasonably priced apartment complete with two wacky roommates, Allen focused on growing her online presence. Now, with a couple hundred thousand subscribers and followers, she earns just enough to support herself. Free from the past, she looks forward to a bright future.
