So I heard you've been punched by the Commander when you tried to interview him? I mean, what did you say?
The video is there on the extranet for all to see. I merely brought forth the concerns and trepidations shared by many humans, particularly my audience; the kinds of questions people have a right to ask of a figure imbued with as much unchecked power as a Spectre, and the kind of criticisms that should be made.
I scrutinised the wisdom and the underlying implications of letting the most advanced and revolutionary warship in the Alliance Navy be accessed by little-known alien crewmembers when even humans would not be allowed aboard, or near the ship in most circumstances.
I questioned the Commander on whether their appointment to the Spectres would supersede their obligations and commitment to the Alliance and humanity as a whole. Considering that Spectres answer directly to the Council, you can see how this was a perfectly logical line of inquiry.
Perfectly reasonable questions, all of them. And Commander Shepard couldn't answer them. Not only that, but Shepard would rather suppress free speech and a free and democratic press with violence than let the people know the truth. Is that really the sort of person humanity wants representing them?
Perhaps Shepard has changed over the years, but everything I did then was indisputably justified and well within my rights.

Hello, ma'am. Nice t' see some Alliance folk 'round here. [/shakes hand] Officer Shaw, C-Sec. Anythin' I can help yah with?
((While taking a quick break on the Citadel, you glance over to the Normandy and see it explode, quite randomly. Every member of the crew was on it, all your friends, are now dead, and with Shepard's death all hope is gone.))
That would be tragic... Commander Shepard's death now would mean the end of all hope for humanity and the rest of the galaxy.
... But I believe we could all pull together.
