"Why do you say that the Alliance is corrupt?" He said. "Or are you someone who deems anyone who helps people without helping themselves as 'corrupt?' I've seen my brothers and sisters in arms fight and die for the cause of the Alliance. You have no right to declare their actions and deaths as corrupt."

“Well I admit that I do not know your ‘Alliance’…aside from the fact that one of its members just shot me in the foot for speaking negatively about it, when he barely knew me.”

"No. I protect people." He said, aiming the Carnifex at him, the gun unfolding on it's transition from his hip to an aiming position. "The Alliance's goal was, as it was when it started, Was to promote peace and further human expansion on uncolonized planets. Humans hold as much power now as the other alien races in the Council." He said before just shooting Thomas in the foot, the mass-accelerated slug of lead punching through his foot. "You should also not talk bad about my allies."

He saw the gun and attempted to react in time, but still ended up with a bullet through his foot. He grimaced and repressed the pain,  immediately retrieving several razorangs from his belt and hurling them at the man, hearing at least two of the sharp objects hit him.

“That was a foolish move…”

"Neither do you..." He said, bringing his omni-tool up on his left arm, drawing his Carnifex with his right hand. "Tell me... You're the type who enjoys picking on the weak, don't you?"

“I do not pick on the weak. I target those in power who I disagree with; I show the weak the right way to be…are you the type who attempts to uphold outdated values that were hammered into him by corrupt authority figures?”

"Ah... So... You're a criminal then?" He said, crossing his arms. "No wonder I already fucking hate you."

“I really think that’s uncalled for. You have only just met me…” he stated, “And you have no idea what I am capable of…”

"... Then what makes your earth so special?" He said, his arms still crossed over his chest.

“My earth is ruled by a caste of Crime Lords who have clawed their way to the top,” he informed, with pride, “We are conquerors…”

"... um... are you on red sand or some shit? There's only one bloody earth." He said, looking at him. "And yes, Alliance Marines, The earth where I'm from is unified in peace and we're in space."

“There are an infinite number of earths,” he retorted, “Each one different than the other. Very few identify as peaceful…and even fewer of them actually fit that definition…”

"Officer Steven Kyle of the Alliance Marines." He said, his arms remaining crossed. "... I take it you're from Gotham?"

“Alliance Marines?” well at least he didn’t say the police, “Yes. Gotham, of Earth-3…”

"Then you and me have a lot of differences." He said, crossing his arms over his armored chest. "What should I call you?"

“Call me Owlman. Everyone else does. What name do you go by?”
