somewhat spoilery recap of my night at wad <3

went out to dinner in Newtown (gay area in sydney) before the show which felt very fitting <3

there were two shows happening at the venue, i could tell the first show was not dans show because of how little eyeliner i could see in the crowd.

finally found the right building, waiting in an extremely long windy line to get in, Mon (gf) looked out of her element and confused by the concept of dnp “so all these people like dan and phil? feels like a lot of people”

went into the theatre and listened to the preshow playlist, this is where i discovered id like Mon come without fully debriefing her. Anytime someone came in with a dnp themed outfit id explain the concept to her.

Mon asked me if this show involved singing, it genuinely hadn’t occurred to me yet, i said he sang in the last 2 stage shows he has done so maybe?

Dans diss track came on and Mon looked scared, i said “this is dan singing” and she said that’s confirms he’ll be singing

show started with dan immediately breaking out into song. i asked mon how she knew and she said the stairs seemed too gay for there to not be any singing

dan got onto all fours, mon asked me "is he going to be doing the show like that the whole time?" </3 bless her soul

intermission happened, i explained to mon the significance of The Cubes.

I asked her what she thought of the show so far. "wheres dans ass?" valid point, i had no reply.

we both agreed the jumpsuit was pretty cool , excellent outfit choice dan

next section about hope was sweet. very classic dan to make a point about being hopeful

good overall experience. leaving was absolute hell. the traffic around the area was insane. It took 40 minutes to get out of the carpark (that’s not an exaggeration). it was longer to get out of the carpark than to drive home </3 not dans fault but my god

overall it was a lovely time, can’t believe i saw the tall man in the flesh, he was charming and funny. only took 1 picture of myself there and 1 of the stage. kinda forgot to take more. (mon in green, me with glasses)
