The Tropic Shoe was created to be wearable anywhere and everywhere... which includes in water! If you go online searching websites like Shoe Carnival in search for a shoe that can be worn under water, you probably didn't find too many all-in-one shoe designs did you? Created as an all around shoe, the Tropic tackles all of the possibly issues and barriers that could prevent it from being an every day every situation type shoe. It weighs just 7 ounces, feeling very light, but it has treads of a boot with a rubber sole. You can casually slip it on, but they come with laces both elastic and conventional.
It was literally made to be born everywhere and every time, the Tropic doesn't even necessarily require socks, that's totally up to you. It's created with very breathable fabric to ensure your feet don't get all sweaty and if they possibly do, they will at least not smell, as the shoe has an Agion treatment that can absorb odors. This shoe is constructed using Cosmo Fabric's 3D mesh fabric and that helps it dry a lot faster than normal shoes would. The elastic laces that come with the shoe allow you to wear them as slip on shoes, but they still rep the sneaker aesthetic like a nike mens shoe. There is an elastic counter-heel that allows the shoe to grip the foot better so they do not slip off.
This shoe is suitable for almost any surface, like asphalt, gravel, grassy plains, or rough terrain, being highly functional above and under water. The Tropic shoe aimed to encompass all shoe categories in one design and they certainly did accomplish this. It becomes very handy for traveling too, as you don't need to bring 5 separate pairs of shoes, because this shoe can do it all! Typically you'd find me in the discount women's shoe dept, but with a shoe like this I may just be buying 1 pair of shoes to last me for a really long time!
