Was anyone going to tell me that Alison Rumfitt, gory extreme body horror novel writer Alison Rumfitt, is writing a Doctor Who episode novelization?!? I love her writing style and her books in general but have they read her other work?
so i just finished Brainwyrms by Allison Rumfitt and its definitely not for everyone but damn does it do a good job of demonstrating a specific type of bigotry. the type of bigotry that relies on misinformation and pride in refusing to learn and how impossible it is to reason with people who are proud of being unteachable. also philosophytube made a video involving/surrounding it (i believe its the who's afraid of gender one) which is also fantastic and you should watch it. but it was well-written and i dont think i enjoyed it but youre definitely not supposed to. and it illustrates so well the particular type of insanity that some people contract around trans people existing.
