Hey, I saw your post about Jeff Davis and his treatment of the cast (Reblogged it too). I was wondering about your opinion on Crystal Reed/Allison Argent's treatment, honestly. Because there are many choice things I could say on the matter, but you seem very well informed about the behind the scenes stuff and I'd like that kind of second view point.

…okay, so. when I'm going to have to tell somebody, "no," I generally prefer not to answer asks publicly unless I can't avoid it (like, this mostly happens if I need to tell an anon, "no"). I don't really like telling people "no" in general, period, anon or not… but. just…

I'm so, so sorry, and I'm really not trying to be mean or terse or anything, and I really don't want to publicly embarrass you or make you feel like I'm calling you out or anything like that, and I'm so sorry if I make you feel like any of these things but just… no. please, no. please, please, no. :/

like. I honestly wouldn't say that I'm that well informed about behind the scenes stuff at all? at least, not more than anyone else. I peer into gossip sometimes and have a bit of knowledge about things like writing for TV and how Hollywood tends to work (mostly thanks to a mix of a period when I kind of wanted to be a screenwriter, my brother from another mother really wanting to write for TV, and my BFF from undergrad's dick ex-boyfriend being an actor in LA)

but I'm really NOT an authority on anything. I just have some opinions and inferences based on the things I stumble into. Based on what I've seen? the short version of my opinion on how Crystal and Allison got treated is that it sucked and I really hope that Crystal finds a work environment where she's happy and where she can flourish, and I wish her the best and look forward to seeing what she does in the future, but… that's really, really all I feel comfortable saying on the matter, publicly or otherwise.

and just… in general? I really don't want to talk about that post. I really don't want to talk about anything even remotely related to that post. I don't want to talk about these things or offer opinions on them or any of it, and I'm mostly answering this publicly so I can just put it out there that I would really take it as a personal kindness if everyone could please just stop reblogging that post. please. please. pretty please. just… please?

this reply to an anon from earlier tonight(/last night… it's 5:45 AM in my time zone and I have not slept yet…) goes into more detail about the story of that post and why I'd like people to either stop reblogging it or at least please leave me alone about it.

short version: that post was not meant to explode like it did (on my part or on the part of the original anon). my mental health has been through the wringer in the past… seven, eight-ish months. fandom wank is not the only reason why that's happened but it is one of the biggest ones, and since I can't just magically make wank not happen, I'm really trying to just not engage with wank or anything that pings as wank to me. I've blacklisted a lot of tags that I used to be a frequent poster in entirely because it was my mental health or my engagement with wank, and… that's not really a hard decision.

will this ever change in the future? I don't know. first thing's first, I need to be in a place that's way more emotionally stable overall.

but in the meantime? that post and everything related to that post ping on my radar as wank, and… I can't make people stop reblogging it? I don't particularly want to try to make people stop, so I'm not going to do more than asking people to please not reblog it anymore. please. and if not that, then… please just… please don't ask me to comment on that post or on related subject matter anymore, okay? please.
