Questions:
Does everyone deserve a second chance?
No.I wouldn’t have said this a few years ago, but now I understand there there are things that are unforgivable. However most people do deserve a second chance.
Have you ever laughed until you cried? If yes, when?
Yes, with various friends on multiple occasions. One time that is particularly clear was on last year’s camping trip, after driving all day we were really sleep deprived. Now you need to understand that we picked the cheapest and most isolated campground we could find so there was no one around. So it’s the middle of the night and there's all of this light shining into our tent, so me an my friend are freaking out and we were so afraid that it took a long time to look outside but for some reason we still couldn’t figure out what it was. Finally, we wake up another friend and she sits up and looks outside and tells us “guys it’s the moon,” and goes back to bed. Long story short we were afraid of the moon for over an hour.
What’s the furthest place you ever traveled to?
The last movie you saw and the last book you read.
The last movie I saw was ‘xXx:state of the union’ and the last book I finished was ‘Red Dragon’, though right now I’m over half way done with the ‘Complete Sherlock Holmes Collection.’
What’s the worst injury you’ve ever had?
I fractured my skull (Bonus- I’ve also broken fingers and ribs, dislocated my shoulder and torn my rotator cuff, not to mention countless minor injuries)
. What is a topic you love to discuss?
Haha, can’t you tell by my blog? Television shows and science, but discussing fiction, psychology, and philosophy is also fun!
On average, how many hours per day do you spend on your computer?
No idea, at least two or three, some days like sixteen. It’s not just tumblr though. I use my computer a lot for school and I write a lot as well, and my computer is also my radio and tv.
What is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to you? I’ve always been unhappy with myself, but after I worked at summer camp I can’t tell you how many people told me things like I’d make a good leader or they admired something, just a lot of really sweet things in general-but it really wasn’t their words so much. It was that I was being 100% myself, a completely honest version and they still said these things. It was a sense of connection, the way we all worked well together, the fact that people looked up to me, and I was making an important difference-and the overwhelming sense of mutual respect and solidarity- it was the closest thing to a family I had ever experienced - and something to remember exists when I’m upset on behalf of humanity. It’s also why I fear I’ve already lived through the best times of my life.
If you were to write a book in the near future, would it probably be fiction or nonfiction?
Fiction. There is something beautiful about it, about working details into something that at first seems so straight-forward, but in reality is a complex, intricate, and beautiful thing that manages to tell a greater truth. In addition, people are more open minded when they are reading something that they believe is fiction, making them vulnerable to the message you're sending. It is a way to bear your soul in a billion infinitesimal ways, without the humiliation. Good fiction admits contradictions and deepens philosophies, it allows the writers to learn more about themselves, and the readers to do the same, it has this subtle power, this pervading weight
What was the last thing that made you laugh? I went to a concert last night and I was slightly intoxicated, so everything was far too amusing.
If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be? I would like to know how to talk to people properly or easily.
What’s your otp - if you have one? Only one allowed. The Doctor and Rose
