40. favourite memory

Let’s see favorite memory...Wow this one is really tough. I could just say the story of my first shiny pokemon! Let’s do that!

I was an innocent child when I was playing Pokemon Sapphire. I acquired the fire stone from the fiery path, and as I left that area with the stone, I encountered a Numel with a blue back instead of green. I thought it had to be special, so I caught it. I thought maybe it was some sort of event, because, of course, I’m a kid.

So I go back to that exact same spot in my Ruby version, got the fire stone, and just started wandering that area for the blue-backed Numel. Never found it again.

Then I learn in my teenage years that Numel was shiny, and incredibly rare. I then learn that it retains its different color as it evolves, and shiny Camerupt is amazing!!! Years later, I named my shiny Camerupt Elder, as he is the first, and oldest shiny I have and cherish <3
