So I decided at work today that the Allsire was a massive dork with a sweet tooth during his reign. He even employed an old family friend whom he’d known since he was a foal because she made the best sweets. She is asking him to leave the kitchen.

The Immolation Festival, Day 9
The principles that guided him in life culminated in his final sacrifice for the sake of his kingdom. As the tainted magic spread up from the warring south, the Allsire poured every ounce of magic he had as well as the magic from crystals placed throughout the kingdom, into one final spell, allowing his land to convert the harmful magic into something it could use. He traded his life for his subjects, allowing them to prosper in his absence. Even as his body turned to stone, a small crack formed and from it burst the first Frostfire Phoenix which let out a resounding cry and flew to the north beyond the Ascent. The great bird was larger than any other seen since. The Icehooves believe this was the Allsire’s soul and that creatures are responsible for the natural warmth of their river. It is said that if one were to travel to its source deep in The White Winds, they would fine the first with its unnaturally dark plumage.
The Immolation Festival, Day 5
A student of magic all his life, the Allsire always encouraged others in their pursuit of a better understanding of the natural energies in the world. Icehoof magic itself utilizes three main sources in implimentation: natural ability, rune magic, and crystal magic. While some focus on one or two in their magic, the Icehooves found some applications, such as more sustainable portals for travel, that benefit from the marriage of all three. No reason you can’t work smart and hard.
The Immolation Festival, Day 3
Despite his generally easy going nature, the Allsire is a fierce and steadfast opponent in battle. There is nothing he wouldn’t do to protect his kingdom and citizens, even if it means his life. Their land, while beautiful can be unforgiving and only those willing to fight for survival will. The odds have to be insurmountable for an Icehoof to run from battle.
The Immolation Festival, Day 1
Hello Tumblr! Welcome to the first day of the next Icehoof Festival which I call the Immolation. I know, it’s not a very cheery title, but I assure you, this festival is all about celebration. More specifically, this festival celebrates the Allsire himself and magic in all its forms. So, for the next 10 days, I will be releasing an image everyday to give you a little more information for you to read [or not read] about the festival.
As you could probably guess, the Allsire, being the leader and, to some extent diety of the Icehooves makes him very important. He’s not unlike the princesses in that respect and no less caring about his subjects. Any Icehoof could approach him and he would listen, no matter the grievance. He is very humble, in the opinion of some in his court, too humble, preferring the company of common ponies to the duties of his station. However, his belief that the little things were what made his kingdom and his subjects who they are is what makes him a better and more attentive leader.
Wind in His Wings
Despite his royal duties, the Allsire is not above taking a moment to just appreciate his kingdom and the work of the other alicorns in the form of a sunset.
The Allsire Immortalized
Just a quick sketch I did last night. Think of it as a preview to the actual image which is taking a might bit longer than I hoped.
