Copped: UNC to Chi AJ 1 Off-White AJ 5 Jordan 3 Unite Red Cement (Off Shock Drop) Used UNC to Chi AJ1 Fearless
My take on the shoes that I copped: UNC to Chi AJ1 - was a little disappointed in Nike here. Received 2 pairs, from them and both pairs had some type of defect on them. My size 11 had tons of glue marks on the heel and some black marks near the AJ 1 wings. My size 9.5 came in with a torn lid but at least the shoes were intact. Quality for this shoe is pretty decent. The leather is really soft and buttery - but I feel like Nike needs to QC these a bit better given that these are somewhat of a limited release. I love the colors and they look great on feet.
Off-White AJ5 - packaging was pretty on point. The box came in perfect and there were no defects on the shoe - which is to be expected for a premium release. This was my first cop on a raffle so that was exciting. I honestly wasn’t the biggest fan when I saw them initially. These had to grow on me. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to hit on my size so they will definitely be stocked. I feel with the quality - the value to this shoe will rise significantly in about a year. AJ5s are also one of my favorite Jordan Silhouettes so it would have been nice to secure a pair my size, but I’m just happy to have hit at all on these.
Jordan 3 Unite Red Cement - tried them on this weekend and was very unimpressed. Quality of leather was NOT good. I was comparing them to my 2011 Black Cements though so of course quality isn’t going to be on par. I did receive the shoe with a dent in the toe box - might be from bad quality leather. I’m going to be returning these.. was a shame because I am a huge Jordan 3 fan but this shoe let me down due to the quality of leather used throughout the shoe. It looks pretty cool but leather quality was the biggest reason for the return.
UNC To Chi AJ1 Fearless - I wanted them so bad during the release. I was in Vegas for the weekend when they dropped and ended up sleeping in for all the live raffles they were having. Finally copped a pair of used ones Sunday. They’re a bit tighter fitting than most other AJ1s due to the patent leather, but I love them all the same. The thing I like a lot about these is that the patent leather does a great job of hiding defects on the shoe. If you look closely though, the defects are a bit amplified and look bad. But the reflection of the light on the shoe while on feet hides all the scratches and creases (as long as they aren’t too creased or scratched).
