Here's a oneshot dedicated to the super talented, super awesome Kaila!!!

I just feel so horrible that I am dirt poor and so deprived of writing inspiration, and I am the kind of person that remembers people's birthdays a month before and not the week before ;AAA;

like, good people deserve to be freaking happy, okay? And people i sarang deserve my efforts to make them happy!1!! Which I always do give but rather late haha /gross sobbing

Anyway, here's the very start of just a humble, weird piece of fanfic I'm writing for you~ If you're wondering why it seems focused on Jongin and not your bias then you'll see lol ;;

His father once told him when he was a child that as long as he had this box with him, he would never lose hope. His instructions were simple: whenever you find something that makes you feel strong or lends you encouragement somehow, put it in the box. Make sure to never peek at its other contents when you drop something in, and just keep filling it as you grow older. When you are in your time of greatest need, that is when you can open the box and all the memories within will remind you that there is something worth fighting for, that you have it in you to beat whatever challenges it is you're facing.

Every year since he was five years old, he has held fast to this promise. The box was almost full now. He took great care not to brush against the other mementos with his hands, and prayed that there would still be space in the years to come. Strangely, this was one of the only bits and pieces from his childhood that he willingly kept close to his heart and wherever he went; it may have seemed naive but he genuinely believed that that box was worth clinging to, depending on.

He knew it was silly but what do humans pine for that isn't?
