Character Questions (Animal Edition): Benji Thwaite

Character Questions #003: Animal Edition Character: Benjamin 'Benji' Thwaite (Original Character) Fandom: Gangsta. 1. Do they have a pet? What's their relationship? No. His housemate won't let him have one because they can't agree on what kind of pet to get, and his housemate will only allow one animal into the apartment. 2. Would they pet a random stray? Yes, and he has but he's cautious so as to not get bitten or scratched. 3. Any animal-related allergies? None. 4. Animal-related phobias? None. 5. Can they ride? (a horse or anything else?) No, he's never had the opportunity to try. It is something he would willingly try though, if given the opportunity. 6. Do they have a strong memory related to a pet or any other animal? As a pre-teen, he once rescued a stray pup off the streets and like any other kid he very quickly got attached to it; he even named it. But when his grandfather came back from a job, he staunchly refused to let him keep it - even threatened to kill it if he didn't get rid of it himself. So he, quite reluctantly, gave it up to a Normal family who had three kids near his age. 7. Would they ever be cruel to an animal? No. 8. It they had a dog, would it be allowed to sleep in the bed? Yes, no matter the size, but the bigger the better. 9. Had they ever had an animal-related obsession? No. He likes certain animals more than others, but he's never been obsessed with one. 10. Related to appearance questions from last week: Thoughts on animal print? It's okay. He's personally not a fan and wouldn't wear it or have it as decoration because it's way too flashy for his tastes. 11. Were they ever bitten by an animal? Yes, a few times. Nothing serious though, most never even left a mark. 12. Would they want a pedigree pet or adopt from a shelter? Either is fine, but he'd be more likely to take a abandoned animal straight off the streets rather than pay for one or even get one from a shelter. 13. Favorite animal? Dogs; generally the bigger they are the better, but he's not really biased. 14. If your character was an animal or could turn, what would they be? His housemate claims that he'd be a dog in the large breed classification; something loyal and generally friendly but protective and vicious when necessary. 15. Do animals tend to trust/like them? Mostly, yes.

Character Questions: What would your character do if... Character: Benjamin 'Benji' Thwaite (Original Character) Fandom: Gangsta. 1. …they were invited to a party where they knew no one? He probably wouldn't go. As a teenager he would've all too happily went and caused all kinds of hell, but he's much wiser and calmer now. 2. …they discovered an ancient artifact? He honestly wouldn't know what to do with it and would most likely give it to his housemate. 3. …they met someone wearing the same clothes as them? Nothing. They're just clothes and he really doesn't care if someone else wears the same outfit as him or not. 4. …they couldn't eat for a whole day? He'd carry on with his life; he's been through much worse things than to worry over going a measly single day without food. 5. …they found a video not meant for their eyes? Eh, well... he'd like to say that he wouldn't watch it, and he probably wouldn't... at least not immediately. It would all depend on who's video it is, and if it's his housemate's then... well, it's pretty much fair game. As curious as he is though, he'd still feel guilty for having violated someone's privacy and if it was his housemate's then he'd confess his misdeeds and sincerely apologize, but only after a few days of being haunted by guilt. 6. …they found out their best friend betrayed them? ... Betrayal is not something that he takes lightly, especially if it comes from someone he trusts enough to call a friend. He has been betrayed before and by someone who he saw as more than just a best friend -they were family to him- and while he has certainly matured since then he would not react well to this happening again, not at all. 7. …their diary was stolen? He doesn't have a diary, nor will he ever keep one, so no issues there. 8. …their best friend insulted them? ... It depends on which best friend and just what the insult was. Certain insults he can just brush off or even find a bit of dark humor in, but others... there are some insults that will pierce him straight through, and those are the ones he can't forgive, forget or tolerate. 9. …their home suddenly disappeared? This... is a bit of a sore subject for him, since this has more or less happened to him before. As a teenager he got very angry and very, very violent when this happened, and a lot of bad things happened. Now, as a mature adult, the first thing he'd do is look for answers but even if he found them he'd probably be at a complete loss for a while. He would, eventually, be able to pick himself up and move on with his life though. 10. …a stranger wanted to talk to them at a secluded place? He'd go see what they wanted, probably without telling his housemate -because they'd freak the hell out and either demand to go with him, demand he not go at all or demand that he take someone else with him-, but he'd be on high alert the whole time. He has done so a few times before and gotten attacked, usually by multiple assailants, so he's always cautious.

Character Questions (Family Edition): Melissa Eaton

Character Questions #007: Family Edition Character: Melissa Eaton (Original Character) Fandom: Gangsta. 1. Describe the circumstances of your character's birth. She was the more or less planned third and last child, and the product of a normal happily married couple. 2. Do they know their parents? What are the parents like? What is their relationship? Oh, yes, she knows her parents very well. Her parents are... her parents: loving but overbearing, judgmental yet supportive etc. Her relationship with her parents is rather strained and has been for years, but they're still family. 3. Do they have siblings? How do they get along with them? If they don't have any, would they want to? She has an older brother and an older sister and she gets along better with her brother than her sister. Her sister moved away a few years ago, but their relationship was barely civil even as children and it never improved with time. Her relationship with her brother is slightly strained, but they're on the mend and getting better at a steady pace. 4. If they had to choose one relative to never see again, who would it be? ... She cannot answer that. While they do not always get along she still loves all of them, even her sister. 5. Favorite memory with a relative? There are a few actually. But she can't choose between them because they're all different and all of them mean more to her than she can possibly say. 6. The worst experience with a family member? There are a few actually, but the one that bothers her the most is the last fight she had with her sister, right before she moved away. 7. Do they know their grandparents? As a child she knew a couple of them, but since they died when she was young she can't remember much about them anymore. 8. Thoughts on marriage? She'd like a nice stable and normal relationship first, thank you very much. Marriage isn't the last thought on her list, but it isn't too near to top either. She's not against marriage, but she doesn't think that she'd be very good at it - rather she doesn't think that she'd make a good lifelong partner for anyone. 9. Do they have children? If not, would they want them? If yes, what’s their relationship? No children. She's still iffy on the child front, at least for herself. It's not that she doesn't like children or that she doesn't want one, one day, it's just... she's not sure that she'd be an appropriate parental figure. She's honestly terrified that she'll screw her child/children up beyond repair. 10. Would they make a good parent? She'd rather be cool Aunty M than a mother because it's just so much easier. She's terrified of being a mother, of screwing up and not being able to fix it. Besides, her lifestyle and love life isn't exactly stable. 11. Have they ever have to deal with a death in family? She doesn't really think that the death of her grandparents counts, since she was so young. 12. Thoughts on adoption? She's certainly not against it, but probably not - it just goes along with her many fears of being a parent. 13. Which member of their family do they take after the most? In looks or personality? In looks she takes her hair and skin coloring after her father but her eyes are from her mother. In personality... well, she's not sure that she takes much after either of them at all. Except her stubbornness, that she knows she got from her father. 14. Would they date someone who already had children? ... Honestly? Probably not. That kind of responsibility, for someone else's child no less, freaks her out. 15. Is there an event in their life that somehow involves babysitting? Yes. She sometimes babysits for her brother's children and for a long while she had to babysit her housemate while they adjusted to living a new way of life.
