There are parts of me that feel like they’ve been ripped off and scattered across the universe. I’m broken and bruised and scarred. And healing at a pace that’s far too slow. My impatience is eating me alive.

Two days past and I felt the first stitch come loose. "It's too complicated to be goodbye," so that stitch held on tight. 2 weeks, tears under street lights and a blurry drive home later, the seams opened up and I fell out of myself.

I'm barely staying afloat though.

Some days I’m fine. And other days the pain hits like I’m experiencing it all for the very first time. Fresh and overwhelming. And some days it’s just there, quiet and calm. Preparing for the next wave.

Sometimes it hurts Breathtaking, body trembling Clenched fist, curled toes Chest heavy, stomach empty Sometimes it’s suffocating

“It’s going to get better” But it’s killing me right now
